About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Associate QA Engineer with 1–2 years of experience in software testing. This role is ideal for someone who wants to build a strong foundation in both manual and automation testing while working on modern QA practices in a collaborative Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans, test cases, and test scenarios
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities
  • Perform manual testing (UI, functional, regression) to ensure product quality
  • Design, develop, and execute basic automation scripts using open-source tools
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs using tools like Jira
  • Perform regression testing when bugs are resolved
  • Collaborate with developers and internal teams to understand system requirements
  • Monitor debugging results and ensure issues are properly resolved
  • Track and analyze QA metrics (defect density, test coverage, etc.)
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools, methodologies, and best practices

Required Skills

  • 1–2 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance
  • Strong understanding of STLC and SDLC
  • Experience in writing test cases, test plans, and executing test scenarios
  • Basic knowledge of automation testing concepts
  • Experience in API testing (Postman or similar tools)
  • Familiarity with SQL for data validation
  • Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira)
  • Basic knowledge of Git/version control
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to any automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, etc.)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
  • Basic understanding of performance testing concepts
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
